Irmscher Automobilbau GmbH & Co. KG is a German automobile tuning and manufacturing [1][2] company specialising in Opel (and Vauxhall, both belonging to General Motors) cars. It was founded in 1968 in a double garage in the Swabian town of Winnenden near Waiblingen in Rems-Murr-Kreis by rallying driver and motor mechanic Günther Irmscher Sr.

Irmscher has retained close links to the Opel company by operating the works teams for Opel in many European automobile competitions, including the Ascona B i400 rally car and the Omega raced in the discontinued V8Star competition in Germany. However, in the UK the Vauxhall teams are run by Triple 8.

This has led them to create parts for Daewoo/Chevrolet [3][4] models, the Cadillac CTS [5] and wheels for the GM based SAAB [6] models, although these are much rarer than the Opel and Vauxhall parts. Their distinctive customised parts include alloy wheels, bodykits and exhausts as well as various interior fittings.
